I always thought this was such a perfect AFI lyric really encompassing modern AFI at the time – the sound may change, but the darkness is still there. I was surprised it didn’t show up on lots of Burials merch at the time, like previous lyrics such as “In Shadows Growing Wings” or “In Darkness Together…”
Where there any lyrical phrases that such seem “so AFI” that you were surprised never really took off in any way?
