Nothing, from nowhere, I’m no one at all.

Well since this is a site all about A Fire Inside, that’s what I’ll talk about here as it pertains to me personally (well, somewhat. Don’t want to be writing here all day xD)

A.F.I. is my favorite band of all-time and has been since Sing the Sorrow. I was at my Grandma’s hair dresser’s house while she was getting her hair done watching music videos and The Leaving Song Part II came on. I can’t remember if it was the first time I had ever heard the song but I do know that that was the moment I fell in love with the band and instantly became obsessed. I LOVED the song so much! SUCH a bad ass guitar intro and then just BAM SONG OF AWESOME XD

Anyway, the video was just sooooo awesome. I wanted the CD right away so I bought it shortly after and listened to it constantly while looking at the booklet’s photos and drawings, and learning the lyrics. I loved the gothic black and grey asthetic, the art, the depth and mystery of the lyrics all spoke to me and made me love the band even more. Then next thing I knew I had the rest of their CD’s and they’ve been my favorite band ever since I guess.

I only ever saw them once unfortunately, during the DecemberUnderground era in 2007.
