A lot of people noticed this number on the Bodies album cover when the artwork was first revealed. Recently it’s been used on Discogs as the serial number as people have started adding the different vinyl variants to the site, but I’m not convinced that was the purpose of this number as it’s really unusual for serial numbers to be prominently featured on album covers, plus AFI have always loved a number-based mystery.
I’ve just been discussing this with a fellow fan on Instagram and she’s got some awesome theories behind what the number means. I won’t post her thoughts here but was wondering if anyone else had any ideas behind the meaning of the number? I’ve tried figuring out an alpha-numeric code but I’m coming up blank.
