Too bad we never got to see this(below),I would love to reach out to them but I think I remember the band not wanting to release the live footage as they said something along the lines it made them uncomfortable, were lucky they did I heard a voice.

Thadd La Rue and Brent Batboy will be filming the Petaluma and Santa Cruz shows as part a project we’ve started working on recently. We’re putting together a DVD that will include all the AFI videos, live footage of those two shows, as well as footage of us playing and hanging out from the upcoming Warped Tour. It will also include a booklet of tour photos taken by Thadd who’ll be coming with us this summer. Hopefully we’ll have it together for release sometime late this year.

Gonna go ahead and assume that the only reason Jade’s list doesn’t have The Butterfly Collection on it is because he didn’t want to include a record he guested on.

Otherwise, Jade, WHERE IS THE BUTTERFLY COLLECTION?

Oh, there’s the DVD that never happened.

Yup I remember I think Davey addressed the pressures of capturing their spontaneous shows and action and being perfectionists so they weren’t happy with it,maybe it was quality reasons as back on nitro I doubt they had a budget to own the footage and pro grade sound and equiptment. At least we got IHAV.

I contacted Thadd Larue and asked him if those plans ever came to fuition,we know they weren’t released but were those shows recorded and somewhere in the AFI vault.
